LEGOLAND Japan Tickets: Prices, Dates and How to Buy

Last checked: October 14, 2026, against the official LEGOLAND Japan website. Prices and rules can change, so please confirm on the official ticket page before you buy. This site is independent and is not affiliated with LEGOLAND Japan or the LEGO Group. LEGOLAND Japan is in Kinjofuto, on the waterfront in Nagoya, and it is easy to reach from Nagoya Station. The tickets are the part that confuses many first-time visitors, because the price depends on the date and the cheapest way to buy is not at the gate.

This guide covers what the tickets cost, how the rules work, and how to choose. The section marked as personal experience comes from visits by the author of this site, who lives in Aichi.

Key takeaways

  • Buy online in advance. It is cheaper, and buying at the gate adds a 500 yen fee per ticket.
  • Prices start from 4,900 yen for adults and 3,700 yen for children (ages 3 to 18), and they change by date.
  • If you plan to stay all day, the combo ticket with SEA LIFE Nagoya is a good option.
  • Date changes are possible once, for 500 yen per ticket. Refunds are not available.
  • Weekdays are quiet. Golden Week and school holidays are crowded.

Ticket types and prices

These are the online prices shown on the official ticket page on the date above. Each amount is a starting price, so the price for your date may be higher.

Ticket Child (3-18) Adult (19 and over)
1 Day Pass: LEGOLAND Japan from 3,700 yen from 4,900 yen
1 Day Pass: LEGOLAND Japan + SEA LIFE Nagoya Aquarium from 4,500 yen from 5,700 yen
1 Day Pass: SEA LIFE Nagoya Aquarium only from 1,400 yen from 1,800 yen

Adding SEA LIFE to a LEGOLAND ticket is listed as an extra 800 yen. Prices vary by day, and the official site publishes a price list and calendar as a PDF, linked from the ticket page. Check your date there before you decide.

Other products on the page include Annual Passes, an Overnight Plan with a hotel stay, and extras such as the Skip Pass and the VIP Experience.

Age groups

  • Child: ages 3 to 18
  • Adult: ages 19 and over

A child aged 3 or older on the day of the visit needs a ticket. The official page does not describe a price for children under 3.

How the rules work

  • Buying in advance is cheaper. The official page says online tickets bought in advance are discounted.
  • Buying at the gate costs more. A handling fee of 500 yen per ticket applies to same-day tickets bought at the box office.
  • Changing the date. You can change the date once, from the purchase date up to the same calendar day three months after your original date. The fee is 500 yen per ticket, and you pay any price difference. If the new date is cheaper, there is no refund of the difference.
  • No refunds. In principle, purchased tickets cannot be refunded or canceled.
  • Combo tickets are for one day. The LEGOLAND and SEA LIFE combo must be used on the same day.
  • Tickets are digital. You can show the barcode on your phone or print the email.

Paying online

The official page lists Visa, Mastercard, JCB, Discover, Diners Club and UnionPay as accepted payment methods. It also warns that the payment may fail if your card is not registered for 3D Secure. If you are buying from abroad, check that your card supports it before the day you want to book.

The official FAQ does not say whether cards issued overseas are accepted beyond the brands listed above. If the payment fails, contact the park’s inquiry line before you look for tickets elsewhere. If you do buy elsewhere, compare the final price and the cancellation terms.

For comparison, Viator lists a LEGOLAND Japan ticket (affiliate link), sold by Royal Smart Tourism. When I checked on October 18, 2026, the price was listed from 20,500 yen, which is far above the official starting prices above, and I could not tell what grade of ticket that price covers. The listing also says the ticket is non-refundable and cannot be changed, and that you must show a valid photo ID or passport at the entrance. Compare the ticket type and the final price with the official page before you buy.

GetYourGuide lists a LEGOLAND Japan and SEA LIFE Nagoya combo ticket (affiliate link). Details are as listed on GetYourGuide on October 18, 2026. Prices, times and availability change, so check the booking page. The listing says the entry QR codes are sent by email or WhatsApp, and that the QR code on the order page is only a booking confirmation. When I checked, it showed a price in US dollars, from $65 for one adult. Compare the final price for your date with the official combined 1 Day Pass above before you buy.

My tips from visiting

These are personal experiences, not official information, so conditions may change.

  • Buy in advance. The savings are real, and you avoid the gate fee.
  • If you will be there all day, add SEA LIFE. The combo ticket is a small step up and gives you something to do indoors.
  • Golden Week is crowded. Weekdays are quiet. If your schedule is flexible, aim for a weekday outside the school holidays.
  • In summer, the water play area is popular. During the summer holidays, reservations fill up very quickly. If it is a priority, plan for it before you plan anything else.
  • Staying at the hotel may help you get in. When I stayed at the hotel, I received a ticket that guaranteed my entry to the water play area. Conditions can change, so check them with the hotel when you book.
  • The water play area is gentle for small children, but the time is short. The official site says the hotel has no pool of its own, and that the water play area on the first floor needs a reservation.
  • The Dragon, the larger roller coaster, tends to have the shorter line. If the line for the smaller one looks long, try The Dragon.

Hotel and overnight options

The official site sells an Overnight Plan with two-day combo tickets and breakfast, from 16,150 yen per person (before tax). If you are traveling with young children, staying on site also removes the trip back to the center of Nagoya. See the official hotel page for rooms and current conditions. The hotel is also listed on Klook](https://affiliate.klook.com/redirect?aid=139700&aff_adid=1508518&k_site=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.klook.com%2Fen-US%2Fhotels%2Fdetail%2F284316-legoland-japan-hotel%2F) (affiliate link), where you can compare rates for your dates. See our [hotel guide for the details.

Getting there

LEGOLAND Japan is a short walk from Kinjofuto Station on the Aonami Line, which is the same station as the SCMAGLEV and Railway Park. The official page says there is no dedicated parking lot and recommends public transport. See our LEGOLAND Japan access guide for the route.
